Data Program of Thoughtworks aimed to enhance data consistency and enable data-driven decision-making, crucial for supporting Thoughtworks' growth and its goal of becoming a billion-dollar organization. There were three tracks of the program here are my contribution to each.
Track 1: BI tool
Buy vs Build Analysis and Vendor evaluation: Led comprehensive market and user research to select an enterprise-level BI tool valued at ~$600k annually, presenting findings and recommendations directly to the CIO. Conducted a detailed three-month vendor and tool evaluation, analyzing factors like partnership potential, pricing, reporting capabilities, visualization options, data source scalability, and dashboard governance. Track 2: Building Data platform
Analysed and worked in a cross functional team to build a domain agnostic enterprise-level
platform. Developed data models, epics, stories, and story maps, while driving showcases, iteration planning.
Track 3: User Onboarding
Collaborated with various business functions and service delivery teams to onboard their data onto the platform and proposed required process changes for functions such as FP&A, Demand, Staffing, Recruiting etc. Conducted a data working model workshop with various service delivery teams to create a working/operating model. Created stratgies for various functions to onboard the data journey. LVT of one such function is attached here
Outcome:
Achieved an 80% adoption for the program by collaborating with business heads and global leaders to devise strategies for adoption and change management.
